Scorch= Fire+Wind
Explosion= Earth +lightning
Crystal=Earth+Wind
I always assumed that blaze was enhanced fire style
why don't they make sense?
1. Blaze Release (or Enton) was Amaterasu when manipulated by Sasuke. It was not even Fire Release, technically, since it was an ability independent of Sasuke's elemental affinities.
2. Magnet Release is very controversial. Logically, magnetic metals (often transition elements that were part of Earth Release) could be magnetized when exposed to another magnetic field. Powerful Electro-Magnets could be formed when electricity was run through magnetic metals. Magnetism itself can be used to manipulate metals (thus 'filtering' techniques that were originally Earth-based). Magnet Release should have been left an ability independent of elements. If it HAD to be a combination, it should have been Earth and Lightning (even then with the user already possessing some control over magnetism before the elements), making electromagnets.
3. Explosion Release is another ability that should have been left unrelated to the elements. But then it had to be made weak against Sasuke, so Earth element was forced into it. In actuality, though, that was simply Deidara's clay, and not the regular earth release. Lightning could negate it, but lightning was also driving it? A more realistic combination, if one HAD to be used, would have been fire and lightning solely because those two couldn't possibly combine for anything but an explosion. Deidara could simply have been implied to be infusing this explosive chakra into his clay (earth-based).
4. Crystal Release is filler. If it HAD to be a combination of two elements, it would be Earth and Water or Earth and Fire. From everything that was seen about Crystal Release and its users, it could simply be passed off as an Earth release subset that was too fine to be copied by Sharingan.
5. Blaze Release, as said before was an MS ability independent of elements.
But then it's a finished Manga, and the guys at Wikia did their best to arrange the combinations while conforming to the little, confusing, and at time inaccurate information Kishi has made available to them.
Where did you get that diagram from ?
I simply quoted one of the guys.
