Incredible speed and endurance. Even though he was maimed with the Kunais, he outspeed the Giant Shuriken and tanked it negative difficulty. Lets not forget about the Kunai he took right at his head, he is still giving Naruto a speech as if nothing happened.

I would say that in stamina alone, Naruto would be able to outlast Iruka as a brand new genin easy. When he learned the shadow clones, then he was at a point where he could probably overwhelm Iruka with sheer numbers. But if we're talking putting those skills into action, then I would say that it would be mid-chunin exams when he beat Kiba that Naruto really passed up his old teacher. That's when he could actually develop clever strategies on the fly, and use his inhuman stamina to see those plans through. Although they were mostly small plans, like turning into Akamaru or Kiba to confuse the hell out of people. But his timing was good since, despite his tendency to forget major details and jump in without a second though, Naruto actually has good instincts in a serious situation.

So my verdict is...Naruto vs. Kiba and Akamaru, Chunin Exam Preliminaries. That's when he really surpassed Iruka.
