When do you think Cartoons started dying in Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and Disney Channel?

For me
Nickelodeon: Around Tuff Puppy
CN: Around Flapjack
Disney: A few months before ANT Farm

Are you serious? Flapjack was so ahead of it's time it's considered the Arrested Development of Cartoons. Adventure time is one of the best cartoons brought to Cartoon Network. If you don't think so, you have to be blinded by nostalgia.

They aren't dead, I just don't watch them anymore.

Now cartoon-ish movies are, they've been replaced by Animations in the Shrek, Toy Story style. You'll never see a movie with animation like the Lion King again.

I was at a friends house browsing through channels. Came across Cartoon Network..WTF? Its cool that Toonami came back..but the climatic end that I saw as a teenager made it all so pointless. And what the hell is this Adventure Time crap. That show tries way too hard to be funny. SMH. Cartoons died the day I moved out of my parents house.

good question i was thinking about this not too long ago. probably in the late 2000's. cartoons are nothing like they used to be. cause for me and all the other 90's babies we grew up on CLASSICS like dragonballz, yugioh, pokemon, samurai jack, fairly odd parents, i could go on and on. what they got now adventure time..? LOL. but yeah i know pokemon is still running but its just not the same.. i might even throw naruto in there since it came out in 05..

I don't think the cartoons now are necessarily bad. It's just a different style than what we who watched 90's stuff are used to. 10 years from now, the kids of today will compare Slug Terra and those Disney shows of today to Ed, Edd and Eddy and That's So Raven to how we'd compare Recess and Even Steven to Felix the Cat and Betty Boop.

I'm not a fan of adventure time or any cartoon right now , IMO they died a long time ago & now a days is rare to see a good fun one , most of the ones today are completely retarded & but kids this days are an easy target & will buy anything .

I don't even consider those cartoons.
