Like for example, If I killed someone with a knife because I got really pissed off, I don't think anyone would excuse me.

However, there was some police that shot someone with downs syndrom several times until he died, because they got scared and thought he had a real gun when really it was plastic and they cried in court and said they were so scared and people let them walk free like they did nothing wrong.

Is it sometimes up to people to shake things off and let go?

Or if you have a case where you can be "morally superior" and totallly trash talk someone because they did something that could be percieved as wrong should you pursue that case?

I'm studying Law, and it indicates in order to be found guilty Men's Rea(the guilty mind) and Actus Reus(The action) both needed to be proved in the court minus the Defense provided by the Defensive party. So whichever has the better lawyer and is better at convincing the judge and what not wins the case. Hence the justice isn't perfect and cannot be perfect as Jury and Judges are humans as well.

Edit: Also being a good person and having good morales to help out a person isn't necessary in the law, so people are just doing it because its their own vision

Ayy thank you, but I feel like no matter what profession, every job is important in this world, regardless of political power or the wages they pay. Also, I'm interested in what other's opinion on this.

Just wait till you take criminology (the study of criminal psychology). It's so fun.

Imo not everyone gets justice and good people are put behind bars or killed while others walk free doing worse shit. Its practically the luck of the draw sometimes. I've seen this video of a cop who shot down a guy just following unclear directions, saying shit like "keep your hands behind your head" but also "crawl towards me" as if that makes sense, guy still died and the cop was suspended but that's it.
