When a woman tells you to be a man.......

The typical way of looking at that situation would be "if a woman tells you to be a man, that´s when you know that you should get your act together and be a man".

I however view this situation differently, there are alot of women who think this way.
A question that comes is "what is a real man like" and that´s where stereotypes come in, i really despise hearing a woman say that to me or any other male for a couple of reasons.

They don´t know what a man is.
They´re being incredibly rude and selfish.
They look stupid.
It´s very insulting for the man who have to take that crap.

I´ve had it happen to me in the past and i only brushed it off but i really despise it.
The main reason why it´s so insulting is because it´s coming from a woman.

What do you think about this?
I´m very annoyed by it when i hear it from a woman regardless of whether or not it´s directed to me.

one day.. his mom was driving us back home, and we were in the back seats with one of his brother. he had the middle seat = more heat protection. and guess what he said =_=

and other days.. where he would rather get a lift from my uncle than take a walk with me and bring me home... U__U

that i cannot say that im being very rude nor selfish :|
why should a man look weaker than a woman on petty things like that? and i understand that sometimes, women need to be stronger in different situations and mutually support each other.. but sometimes... it just makes you wonder where their backbones are U_U

I can tell you from experience that it´s just him feeling comfortable enough to say it that way.
It doesn´t have anything to do with him being a man, he was also doing you a favor, why not think of it that way?

It is ignorant towards someone's feelings, it is(and when women says it, it makes the whole thing seem so hypocritical, seeing as how they're all about how important feelings are..). What's happening is you're more or less trying to force him into the comparison of what should be compared to what is, which ... omg I love that sig you have Kazamori!xd anyway, back on topic; which means, if he isn't some kind of idiot, that he'll get even worse confidence in himself, since you're pushing him against some absurd picture of how someone should be, not accepting what is. Someone mentioned it before, think it was OP, but it is rude and most of all, selfish.
