[Discussion] Whats wrong with killua

Why does he hate his mother so much, yet she is proud of him.

He stabbed her in the face to do the Hunter exam, then in the latest episode 139 he told Alluka to kill his mother.

Does he have a grudge against her?

In the latest episode, Killua told that to Alluka so his father would let them out.

Killua hates his mother for her manipulative and controlling behavior, he just wants to do what he wants and she tries to keep him restricted to the house. She's proud of his ruthlessness and skills, she doesn't really see him as a child but as a weapon for the family and a tool to carry on the Zoldyck name, she sees him as the most fit to succeed Silva and does all she can to ensure that happens regardless of what he wants.
