1. being abused/neglected by family/bf/gf
2. being alone, no one really giving a care about your existence
3. having a member in the family die/pass away/divorce
4. Being shunned because you look weird, are gay, are religious, etc.

what do you think would be the worst thing to happen?

For me it is #2. I have seen all but #3, but I can tell you 100% that nothing is worse then being alone.

Every individual deals with hardships differently.
One hardship effects one person and the other can deal with it.

All of these are equally bad, it just depends on the individual.
1. Abuse is bad by anyone you care about, but having others like friends or siblings might help ease the pain.
2. Some people genuinely enjoy being alone. For others it kills them.
3. It hurts to lose someone special, but that's life. Would you rather have them be here, let's say in pain from a disease, just so that you won't have to experience the pain of losing them. That's extremely selfish.
4. This one would be really difficult because I've never experienced anything like this, but even in a situation like this you can always find similar individuals to help you through troubling times.

All of these are very bad. I guess it will depend on how each person deals with their problems. Some might manage to deal with number 1 for exemple easier than with number 4, so number 1 won't look as bad.

For me, #1 and 4 are the worse.

being alone is horrible, i rememeber someone saying a long time ago how they punish prisoners in prison. in prison where you have to live with hunderds of murderers, rapists and unstable people every day the worst thing that can happen is being put in isolation. because it is better to be among murderers and rapists then it is to be alone.

#2 is actually best case scenario of the 4. With #2 you don't have #1 and 3 and you don't care about #4.

For me, it is #1 definatelly. If someone close to you is abusing you, I would get really shocked and feel betrayed.
