What's with all the Might Guy > everyone else threads?

I've been seeing many of the threads about how Might Guy is more powerful than everyone else. Now I do believe that he is one of the most powerful shinobi. However, his Eight Gate, which makes him as powerful as Madara, is very short and leads to death. Yes, for that time being he achieves an unbelievable amount of power, but it leads to him dieing shortly after. How could you be the strongest shinobi, when you could only claim that title for 15 minutes. Without the 8th gate, he is still below the Kage, Naruto, Sasuke, and others.

I love the character of Might Guy and the fight with Madara is pretty epic, but I can't say that he's the most powerful shinobi. He's like Phil Simms from the Giants. Pretty good/great throughout his career and has one unbelievable performance in the Super Bowl. That said, no one would call him the best QB ever.

Look at it this way. Gai vs a character. The goal of both is to kill the other and survive. Gai used 8th Gate and killed the other person. Gai won that fight because even though both failed the goal of surviving, Gai was the only one to accomplish the goal of killing the other.

the strongest character..gimme a break...gai can't win against someone with high healing abilities.. like madara,kaguya,hashi..and the last gate is suicide...if he can't defeat his opponent in a short period of time,he is toast.

naruto had to save his ass....if he was dead,people won't be making so much fuss about gai...gai's dad used the death gate too but he died because there was no naruto to save him,so everybody forgot about him,and nobody called him the strongest.

Aww his opponent needs special hax healing just win against little ol guy. Any other special unrealistic uncommon abilities an opponent needs just to beat a ninja who doesn't even ninjutsu?

If you think about it, Obito, Kakashi, and Minato can all solo Eight Gate Might Guy (assuming Guy can't turn it off early on). For Obito and Kakashi, they would just go into another dimension, come back in 15 minutes, and find Guy turned into ash. For Minito, he would just teleport to a safe location outside of the battlefield.

I also get that he can technically "beat" anyone, but that's for about 15 minutes. I will give you that during the eight gate, Guy can be called the strongest, but the fact that he can only experience this stage once and for a short period of time, can't make him the strongest overall. What if he fights an opponent like Naruto or Kakashi, that can use shadow clones to trick the opponent, prolong the fight, and after 10-15 minutes Might Guy just dies from the Eight Gate. Basically all of his opponents just need to perform the rope-a-dope strategy.

I think you could say he's the strongest because he can't use ninjutsu and he had to work much harder than anyone else to get to the level he's at, which isn't that far below the rest of them.

If the goal is to kill the other and survive he doesn't win, he just makes sure they both lose. By your logic while guy wins by killing them, but that logic cuts both ways, the opponent also won by forcing guy to use suicide technique.

Yes. But that's just an indirect kill. I'm counting direct kills

I think it's just the hype of the moment (because of the episode that came out last week where guy used the "night guy" on madara). It was pretty much the same when the actual chapter came out.

Give it a week or 2 and the threads will most likely stop

PS: This does not mean that I hate guy, I actually think guy is freaking awesome
