Jinks can control their beasts even though they are not BFFs with their biju like how the Pre BM Naruto forcefully extraced chakra from Kurama to go KM ..... not mention (a speculation only) it helps if the Biju Chakra portion has no consciousness like the Minato's Kurama portion,

He has Sharingan ,Hashirama's chakra(which is alone is enough to control Juubi by bcmng it's host) and Rinnegan..........all these requirements are more than enough to control Juubi as wel as Bijju's..................

Nope it got feelings the fact that it is able to recognize Sage in Naruto as wel as it is able to protect itself from from shinobi by creating clone's wil prove that........................
