[Discussion] What's up with the Hashirama tree!?

Im guessing many people have thought of this before but since i have not found a thread about it so here i go.

I've was wondering what the hell was Madara doing with all these zetzu bodies hanging on the Hashirama tree then it hit me. Madara is alone and zetzu has yet to make appearances, so its safe to say that what Madara is trying to accomplish right is :

To create the entity we know as Zetzu


Although it made me wonder, Obito did say Hashimara had no mind of his own and was nothing more than a pile of cells, this mean that Madara shouldnt be able to create a mind for it even if he succeeds in creating it's body. I wonder if Madara was able to pull it off. Is zetzu actually someone's mind???

Nothing amazing but this could lead to more interesting developpement than we thought!

white zetsu was made up of senju cells... so maybe black zetsu was made from uchiha cells or from creation of all things jutsu from madaras rinnegan? maybe he was trying to experiment trying to infuse the two to make something similar to the so6p

Easily explained every once in a while in their youth Hashi n' Mito would sneak away to..."train" and while they were "training" Hashi would pull his "muscle" from "training" dripping "sweat" all over the place so Mito wouldn't get a "hernia" and have to carry it around for nine months so where Hashi's "sweat" dripped a tree grew see easily explained....

Zetsu is either two minds, or one mind that got somehow split in a more naive child-like fellow and a more serious dude. other than that we are all waiting to hear more about Zetsu and why he is so 'important'

It's funny b/c in a poll I made one of the choices was that it would be either Sasuke or the clone of Harashima which steps into the fray. Highly unlike, but still possible. It just needs a mind @_@

Well, hold on a minute. We're not quite sure how this lotus tree works. Zetsu is obviously a byproduct of the lotus, but that may be for a normal reason: Hashirama's DNA is human DNA. That means his cells, given the right opportunities, will try to grow into human-like shapes. It's hashirama's POWER that turns chakra into plant life (wood/flowers). So this lotus is a very small amount of Hashirama's DNA being used as a tool to turn chakra into plants and life energy.

That's why there's a "clone" of Hashirama with human-like hands surrounding it, sticking out of the plant. The Hashirama cells want to create a human-like body, because they have human DNA. The human cells want to create human-like bodies, and the plant cells want to make a plant. The human cells, of course, provide the life energy that the plant cells need to grow (and the plant cells are probably providing things like raw chakra and nutrients to the human cells). Think about it like a very close symbiosis between two different organisms, which provide different forms of chakra to each other to help each other grow.

The Zetsu bodies and body parts hanging off the lotus plant may just be byproducts of this weird combination of human and plant cells, growing in the shape that the human cells want, with the material that the plant cells provide. In other words, there's no evidence that madara has anything to do with it.

The 100% zetsu that we know as a sentient being might just have been the inevitable consequence of this kind of growth: Eventually the lotus will grow a complete body, and if that body develops a mind it will become zetsu.[

Think about it like a recipe:
1) Grow Hashirama cells in a test tube to create a body without a mind.
2) Input chakra into the Hashirama cells
3) Hashirama cells turn normal chakra into wood-style life chakra. This creates a plant.
4) Use the plant cells (roots, leaves, etc) to transmit more chakra to the Hashirama cells. This, in turn, creates more plant cells.
5) Plant cells and hashirama cells mix in the resulting organism. When they try to grow together, Zetsu bodies and body parts are created.

Maybe Madara had some kind of hand in actively developing Zetsu to become his helper (he obviously wasn't planning on Obito to appear there), but there's a plausible explanation that it could have happened purely by accident.
