Ok, that's obvious. All Minato has done were techiques he could accomplish before entering that mode. Example he could use the S/T justu techniques and the red sun barrier (it is stated all hokages could use this technique, Minato was a hokage before emerging with the nine-tails chakara) before all of this. Now all he is doing is standing there to control the barrier ... Really no point of this mode so far.
