What's the point of comparing Naruto to different anime/manga series?

I've noticed several Naruto VS Bleach /Naruto Vs DBZ threads over the past couple of weeks and plenty of biased fans trying to argue against common sense.But I want to know is why do people keep making these types of threads,Naruto has nothing in common with either Bleach or DBZ aside from Naruto being based off of Goku.Is it because biased fans can live in fantasy land where they think Naruto characters can hang with those in DBZ or Bleach in terms of power levels?

Is it because these types of threads are where logic and common sense are thrown out the window in order to display extreme cases of fanboyism?

It's essentially the same as comparing characters of the same universe, but this time, you have to consider how different abilities' natures interact, how they affect or don't affect characters, and what advantages may happen. For anyone who likes to debate, it just makes it more challenging. If it's lame and retarded, especially because it won't happen, then more than half of this site is dumb and retarded and we're all just part of it.

It's really not , one of the reasons people compare different manga/animes is just to hate , I see it all the time here in NB , that's the purpose of 99% of the threads . You do have a point , but it doesn't apply here most of the time .
