What's the point into summoning other Kages?

There is no point in summoning them just for some chakra.

Kishimoto could have just made that summoning a Hokages + Hagoromo feat.
He could say something like: "I'll borrow your chakra past Hokages."

That'd be another feat on 4 Hokages like their performance against Juubi when they used Shisekiyojin Yang formation.
The best guess I have come up is those past Kages telling the history of shinobi to Naruto & Sasuke otherwise I don't see a point in their appearance.

Hagaromo told the edo kages previously that he did not have enough chakra to do what was needed, so possibly he needed them all to pull the others back from kaguya's dimension. This would be consistent with suckuraw giving obito chakra to hop dimensions and suckske being drained returning just three people from the desert dimension to where Naruto was fighting Kaguya.

Just a guess...not stated as fact.

why does everyone think the kage are all back? Didn't Hagoromo say he summoned them from the Pure World for their chakra for the Kuchyose?

It was their spirit. Not their bodies. I don't think they are around anymore, and I wouldn't expect anymore from them other than what we just saw.

If they are still around it will most likely be to reverse the effect of Infinite Tsukuyomi. Many of you guys might bereading a little too deep into this.
