Whats the difference between Shadow Clone & Multi?

I've seen some episodes when Naruto does "Shadow Clone Jutsu" & pops out 3 of them, but then again a few episodes after he says "Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu" and there's only 3. The exact same? Has anyone ever noticed? Does anyone know really the difference?

Multi just means more than one .. so yeah it doesn't really matter BR00 .

Naruto has made around 5 Shadow Clones during the Chunin Exams, without using Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu, so it can't mean just 1 there has to be an exact limit for it to become Multi.

Shadow Clone Jutsu makes a small number of clones, Mullti-Shadow Clone Jutsu makes a large number of clones

But it is never really paid attention to.Multi has made a small number at times and regular makes hundreds.

At one point, naruto made the tiger sign to make clones

Usually when he make a massive amount of shadow clones he refer to it as Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu. There are times he does refer to the tech as just Shadow Clone Jutsu.
