[Discussion] What's the deal with the Mangekyō Sharingan abilities?

So the way I always thought of the Mangekyō abilities was this:
-One eye stores Amaterasu
-One eye stores a unique ability (Kamui, Tsukuyomi, Blaze Release, Kotoamatsukami, etc.)
-Awakening both abilities allows the use of Susanoo

But if that were the case, then why is it that both of Obito's Mangekyō Sharingans store the special ability (Kamui)?

My guess is that Amaterasu is limited to use in one eye, but the special ability can be used in both eyes. Of course Sasuke is an exception for this due to his ability being able to manipulate Amaterasu, and he can't use the same eye to control it as the one that is using Amaterasu.

You just need MS in both eyes to awaken Susanoo,the whole thingy ''you need Amaterasu/Tsukuyomi or Amaterasu + w/e ability'' is bullcrap.

i dont get why most people think amaterasu and tsukuyomi awaken for all mangekyou users..!!

its obvious as day, that amaterasu and tsukuyomi are only limited to itachi..
sasuke got amaterasu implanted into him by itachi, and thats why he is able to use...

others have different MS abilities..
shisui: KA
obito: Kamui(long and short range)
so on and so forth..

Well, people are unique on their own way.. example.. hashi is the only one who could use wood release and there are many more examples.. obito just happened to get overpowered eyes when used right.

Each eye has a ability, and both of them together enables susanoo, however each person has a bigger affinity with one of the abilities, sasuke with amaterasu, itachi with tsukuyomi, obito with kamui, shisui with KA. If the eyes get separated only that ability will remain. That is the most accepted theory but it's alll speculation yet

The Mangekyou Sharingan is different in all people. Probably people closely related have the same techniques. Seeing as Sasuke and Itachi have the same abilities except on different scales. If you don't have Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi you don't unlock Sasunoo and people without Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi have both the same eye techniques each eye. That's why Kamui and Shisui's genjutsu are OD haxed.

notice that obito's eye is a manipulation of kakashi's kamui,blaze release is a manipulation of amaterasu and notice how shisui's right eye work(the one danzo has it)it controls an oppenent for a period of time completely(sounds like a manipulation of KA which is a one command genjutsu).
the only one who is different is itachi,and madara we know nothing of his eye powers.

Sasuke unlocked Amaterasu when he got MS. What Itachi gave him was a one time use against Tobi, and that's why it took his MS design.
