When somebody (Naruto) talks the villain to come to their side.

Examples: Naruto and Nagato

Naruto and Obito

It's where Naruto convinces his enemy either through defeat, words, charisma, ideals or philosophy that they are wrong and steers them towards a virtuous path. Naruto has done this a number of times with characters throughout the series, thus several have dubbed it repetitive, cliche or unrealistic and mock it by calling it "talk no jutsu."

Brainwashing opponents using no real reason behind words except very strong feelings and the urgency of plot.

Using the amazing power of words to convert someone to your side, even if that person had killed hundreds and was just trying to kill you minutes ago.
