What's so good about Fairy Tail?(No Flaming)

Summer break is in two weeks for me, so I'm making a list of anime/manga to read/watch. So should fairy tail be one of them?

What's so good about fariy tail?
I've tried it before but I can't get hooked to it. I've heard alot of bad things about it. For example, people quote panels from fairy tail that look exactly like one piece.

Shoud I give it a try again?

Fairy tail is a good manga actually , and i also read one piece and i can assure you , none of the character looks like one piece characters . it is better drawn in my opinion

The best things about Fairy Tale is it's not One Piece.

well you should never compared one piece to any other manga LOL,
every manga look pale if you cimpared it against one piece,

fairy tail is great manga, but the story line its kinda like bleach, there is no consistency from the author, most of the arc got nothing to do with natsu goal of finding igneel,
nonetheless its steal great because it has a lot character with interesting personality great fighting scene and the fanservice,

as for me i would rather recommend gintama for your summer break anime

They have various arcs . I especially love the latest one actually

fairytail is a gd manga IMO just because i like alot of action and fantasy fighting but like the other guy said the story is inconsistent but that could change... who knows

Your own opinion of One Piece being shit doesn't matter when One Piece is currently the number 1 manga in sales and ratings and has been for months now. So, sorry but compared to every other manga, One Piece trumps them all.

OT: Yes some of Fairy Tails panels do look similar to One Piece's and the drawing's have somewhat a similar style to One Piece's. It's storyline is very inconsistent though, there is practically no main goal because every new arc is something new. Each arc connects but you won't see a main plot throughout Fairy Tail except maybe something about the year 777 and dragons.

Fairy Tail is good to read for some nice fights, humour and fan service or just general entertainment. The people that say bad things are idiots because who cares if FT and OP are similar or not. It's not like Hiro has plagiarized anything.

i would give ft a try it is awesome i know it doesn´t really have a story but therefore some really good characters,cool fights and amazing art if you treat it as superficial entertainment like bleach it is really great and fun and the humor is also pretty good, the only thing i hate about it that really everything is solved with friendship and nakama punch but it is the theme and maybe only i don´t like that but if you like naruto,op or bleach it is great

Yes,you're right because as we all know sales and ratings are the truest indicator of quality.Should I pull out a list of some of the top selling music artist? And who exactly rates the mangas?

so what do you mean to say..??..even critics have labelled it as something extraordinary and which still hasnt lost its steam..unlike naruto..at the start it was praised because of its awesome stroryline but now all we get is sharingan...so dnt give us this shit.....public and critics say op is btr...

at the beginning some arc was just meant to introduce the main group background so its not random, but after that the randomness and the power of friendship strikes
