What's so fun about RP

I don't see why people enjoy RP, Please note that I've got nothing against it or anything like that, I know it's like any other game but..

It seems quite boring to 'play this'

If you don't RP: What do you think makes RP so fun?

RP is awesome. it gets you away from real life Bullshit

The Role Playing Villages can make you some new friends around here even outside the RP section.
A lot of people, and I mean a lot just joined the get the banners on top of their avatar just to make it seem more interesting and cool.

One of the three things can happen from then on.

1. You actually start liking Role Playing.
2. You get kicked out for inactivity.
3. You simply stop, since you don't think its worth it for just a banner hanging on top of your avatar.

Role playing in itself is fun, since most of the games you play (Naruto, DBZ, Pokemon etc..) are RP games. They're fun right?
That's why people RP, just without the fancy graphics, and gimmicks.​

While I have yet to roleplay here, I have done so for a few years on video games with others. It's all about making some fun character with interesting qualities and, well, abilities. And then going through battles, character interactions, drama, ETC

RP's a creative outlet and a way to build communities of people with relevant interests...

... Well, at least in unofficial Konoha Town RP, though. This is from personal experience.

As for the Battle RP, it has its own set of appeals as well.

I think the comparison to video games is a plausible one, but I'd akin RP to something more like scriptwriting.

I have no idea. I tried it out once when I just joined and it just seemed silly to me.

It's actually quite fun for some, but requires a lot of effort and time since you're not just pushing buttons into a controller.

I personally found it tedious after some time, and quit it. But yeah, I enjoyed some parts.

I'm on the fence with RP'ing. It's okay if it's a casual from time-to-time thing, but, I simply just don't have the patience or dedication to be in a serious one.
