I guess you could say that kaguya served as the final reason for Obito to return to the good side and help them out. He saw that Kaguya was using a time space jutsu and decided to help.

They replaced a bad ass villain who had a huge amount of build up, all for some villain who looks lame, fights lame, has no development, doesn't talk, and has a terrible, underdeveloped back story. And you're asking us what we didn't like? Smh

Kaguya herself was a dissapointing villain, with little to no developement. It really looked like she was only introduced to kill off Obito and Madara. Also being an asspull to make transmigrations relevant, when transmigrations themselves were only an asspull to make Madara relevant isn't a good thing.

Madara was relevant all throughout P2 before the transmigration theme was ever brought up, starting with the second arc :kk:

No, he wasn't. Obito was the one doing all the work, and Madara was just sitting around, being dead. By the time the war came around, all the main characters still focused on Obito, with Madara sitting on the sidelines, waiting for Hashirama to show up. Once Obito was defeated, Naruto admitted that he had forgotten Madara was even there. How is that relevant again?

I don't remember that. You must be lying. It went strait from Madara inexplicably being defeated off screen to Naruto and Sasuke's final battle.

I was pretty impartial about the last arc.

On one hand, I thought Kaguya was introduced reasonably well. Sure she might have had no backstory before the latest stage of the war, but I think her arrival was foreshadowed decently well. The bits of history we got from her via Madara and the moment where the tree talked to Madara and told him to absorb it, that was obviously Kaguya telling him that. It felt pretty epic to me.

However, I was also very disappointed with how Madara was defeated. I mean we get over a year of Edo-Madara (if I recall correctly) and several weeks of no-eye Madara. Then we get a few chapters of 1 Rinnegan Madara. And finally, when Madara gets both Rinnegans, we basically get one chapter at his full power. His power, at that time, coupled with his battle experience was enough to burry Nardo and Saucegay a thousand feet underground but Kishi just said no.

It was a real anticlimactic ending for Madara and his full power was too short lived. Yet, again, I feel Kaguya was foreshadowed enough to where she did feel a true relevant part of the story. In the end, I'm torn on the matter overall.
