What's a "Ninja" in Naruto?

Im ok with the fire and all that, but with the major powerups these days not one is based on stealth. There are a few Ninja who get this such as Zetsu, Zabuza etc.. But Naruto seem more like Super wizards. U_U I'm not hating or anything the manga is still good.

So how would you label Naruto "Ninjas"?
