You think you're so/so this way
You think it's just who you are now-a-days
But I've got something to say
Life isn't about acting like in stage-play
I know what you've lost and what you've got
But sometimes I wonder if you do
You say you can't be what you're not
But at your young age how do you really know you?
Sure you can be as strong as an ox
But inside you're a mess of emotion
You can be as sly and sneaky as a fox
But experience comes over time, not from any notion
I know you're not who you used to be
And you probably won't be who you are today, tomorrow
Don't open your eyes but instead open your mind to see
And the world will appear as a whole for you to truly know
You may think you you can hide the pain of the past
And you think it's easy to move on from pain in the pouring rain
But you must know a thing or two before happiness can last
Or all your regret and all your effort to forget will be in vain
You think it's just who you are now-a-days
But I've got something to say
Life isn't about acting like in stage-play
I know what you've lost and what you've got
