It's a horrible idea do you believe that people are selling their own guns with serial numbers at these gun shows? The black market of ghost guns are on the rise ,if you have skills in drill pressing or milling your able to make firearms. They've even made milling machines for creating firearms which isn't illegal even so you can claim it to be for other use or purposes, 3D printers is also an option but it's expensive well for now atleast.


Philippines has strict gun control look these guys are creating ghost guns with no problem, also the full documentary showed on these guns made it all the way to the United States,Mexico, and South America.

I don't need guns. It's not good to have them easily purchased. Police have guns and they kill you as soon as they feel threatened. Guns kill.

That would make the black market even bigger. A better regulation is what we need, now that we have introduced weapons to this world. If you ban them completely, people are gonna find an illegal way to get them.

Certain weapons should be banned and made legal to carry in public - that include safe zones. You should have a Permit to carry a firearm. Universal Background check. If suspected Terrorist or highly dangerous to the public, due process of the law should be carried out, and if not found guilty of terroist activity, then you should be removed from the terrorist watch list and no fly list.

Controlling guns in America is an illusion. It's ingrained into the culture. Full gun control would go over like lead balloon (reference Prohibition and the War on Drugs). All it would serve to do is disarm law abiding citizens, or worse, make law abiding citizens criminals for illegal possession. If you look at correlation between cities with stricter gun laws (like Chicago), you see an increase in criminal behavior. I read an article recently that overall violence in America is actually down as a whole; our perceptions have changed because of mass social media, and violence/sensationalism sells. I don't consider myself paranoid by nature, but I never trust a government that wants to disarm its citizens. Food for thought:

According to the Washington Post there are more than 357 million registered guns in the U.S. as of 2013. If guns were the problem we'd be seeing more of a problem.

^^^ This. Just like getting a drivers license, if you want a gun then you should pay to go to a class, take tests, and then have an in-person final exam with a certified instructor. And somewhere in that process there should be a psychological evaluation and more detailed background checks.

I also think assault weapons should be banned. Semi-automatics and hunting firearms should stay though.

It should be only for policemen, military and such.

There are many other weapons for self-defense for civilians to use such as pepper spray, stun gun, brass knuckles, swiss knife, and everyday things like an umbrella, pen, bottled water.

If civilians are to purchase it legally, it should be well-authorized like strict requirements and checking on them at least ever year to maintain its use.

Law breakers will attempt to get their hands on guns, as strict as the control is through the black market. This confirms that strict gun control does not stop criminals from obtaining guns and committing crimes.

I'm a in favour of guns in self-protection, with more background checks, criminal record checks and mentality test; of course, certain types of guns.

i have two guns, one hunting rifle i got from my grandma's house when she passed, and a .35 i got at a gun show because the design was beautiful. just because i have them doesnt mean trouble is a brewin, its literally the second amendment in the founding constitution of our country, out of all things to found a country on, thats the second thing they picked

unless they searched every civilians house in the nation which i would doubt, making it illegal would solve nothing, people would just now have illegal items. gun laws can keep getting stricter but shit happens, a gun will fall in the hands of the wrong person somehow. everyone around the world has seen what the police do to civilians here, allowing them only to carry guns isnt a good idea whatsoever. places where people assemble or gather for whatever reason, should have guns on site in a safe place, with employees and staff trained to handle them incase of emergency, that could help. giving everyone guns doesnt work though because then we're back to the old west with people getting shot all the time

best option would be to make guns like in that anime psycho pass, where they can only fire at people showing certain mental states. that would solve everything but..

There are waaay less mass shootings in Europe than America and the reason for that is gun control. It's actually far to easy to get a gun in America, nobody can argue against that. I don't think they should be illegal but you gotta have some kind of checks and mental evaluations.
