I wonder what would've happened if word ever got out that the konoha elders ordered itachi to murder the uchiha. Kakashi made sure Naruto agreed not to tell anybody i'm curious why he was so serious about it.

If every man, women & child knew that their Goverment (high ranking officials) ordered the genocide of an entire clan it would most likey result in chaos.
