What would've happened if the Akatsuki attacked Konoha with Pain?

I don't really see how this is debatable. Pain singlehandedly wrecked the village and would've won against Naruto if not for the countless plot conveniences on the latter's side, so having even one Akatsuki member would probably change the outcome, let alone the whole organization...

Not so much. Konan accompanied Pain in the attack and did very little to change the outcome. She would have been thoroughly outmatched by SM Naruto, so her aid wouldn't have mattered. Pain having his Shinra Tensei nerfed dropped his power by about 50%. With it, SM Naruto gets destroyed. It would have taken multiple Akatsuki to match that feat, not just one.

@ the OP, most akatsuki were dead by the time of the invasion anyway. So not even accounting for Guy, it would have only been Kisame added to the mix. Not counting Obito I think would be fair considering the context. Its really a matter of whether or not Kisame + nerfed Pain would be enough. Considering pain has no experience with combo attacks outside of Konan, I say Naruto still wins thus nothing changes.

Everyone is laughing at bringing up 8 Gates Gai, yet all of Ataksuki being added to the mix is a changed scenario anyway, as Deidara, Sasori, Hidan, Kakuzu and Itachi were all dead at the time. Added them is not part of the OP unless he specified.

Are you serious? We all know what he means by the whole akatsuki attacking, every member that died is alive for this. You don't go in VS threads and say none of them win because they already died.

Than what's the difference between including dead Akatsuki and including living shinobi that were away from the village at the time? People were trying to stay true to the manga by omitting who was there at the time, why not keep the enemy army consistent as well? The only way this scenario would even play out would be if the fight was set much earlier in part 2 or even in part 1. At that point, you'd be forced to include both Jiraiya and Gai in the scenario anyway. Obiviously Naruto wouldn't be a factor in the fight in that scenario though.

What i didn't like about that invasion was the fact Hokage's place has so many ancient seals and so on.. but none of their jutsus were shown by Kishimoto to try to defend the village.
