Hmm most realistic scenario I've been able to come up with.

Three years from now when my current enlistment is up I'm living in either Pennsylvania or Florida with my family and going to school or working a GS position. NATO and the Warsaw Pact have it out. America is the first target for a land invasion because once we fall the bulk of NATO's military power is gone with us. I immediately send my wife and kids to stay with my parents in Kansas.

I continue working and maintain my current pattern of life as much as possible. At night I sneak around and plant IED's along dirt roads and a few EFP's along hardballs. Mainly work with other resistance members to provide communication and continued surveillance. Mainly work as a forward observer for mortars and give heads up to snipers.

I would not try to take on a convoy with small arms. Fact is that's a dozen guys most likely with AR platform weapons. Essentially a glorified .22. Against armored trucks with heavy caliber machine guns. If anything I would pre zero in mortars or whatever artillery asset we have on a location. Rig it with IED's and as soon as one detonates and stops the convoy I would tell them to bring the big death rain down on them.

Would definitely rig my house as well. Thinking one large device with a clothespin trip wire at the main entrance. Preferably something large enough to take a squad sized element. Then when they go through the remains of the house they get to run the gambit with all the other explosives I can fit in the dry wall and inside my furniture. If I'm inside at the time I'm sure that I'd barricade myself somewhere with a pro mask and as many magazines as possible. Hell maybe even a suicide vest if they do a call out and give me time to put it on.

One things for sure. I'll take a whole lot of them down before they get me.

I would try and hide, play it safe. When I'm found, I run. That's the way I would like to do things until it quietens down. Knowing parkour helps as well.
