Since you didn't say which anime, I'll just go with my top favorite.

In Soul Eater, I'd either go to the DWMA or become a witch. There are many ways for power and worst case scenario, I get killed by a Kishin. Oh well. But yes, I'd either go to the DWMA or go into magic. I'd probably take a route like Free or Noah.
