What would the buyer of jewelries would ask you if you want sell your gold jewelry?

Im 18 and my grandad gave me a lot of gold before and i dont really use it cos its kinda gnarly this days, im planning to sell it to a gold buyer on the nearby mall just 5 miles in my house but i have no idea how this thing works can anyone tell me how to get cash selling it? And the most important question would my grandpa could find out about it?

Do a lot of research on the internet first. Also I would hold onto it for another decade. You might need it for some crazy shit.

Gold differs in prices with weight, and the amount of "gold" inside the jewel. For example I heard FIFA world trophy is 78% Au(gold) meaning it's super expensive.
So the price you get for it is directly proportional to the crt(mass of Gold insight) and weight(how heavy it feels) of it.

* You can sell it at private craigs for a cheaper price but quicker and hustle free money no (SSN/ID) number, questions needed..

or

* Sell it at well known reputable clerks. They would need documents upon documents etc. your family will have to know all that hustle but for a better price.
