Question in title, but how far or under what circumstances do you think it would take, just how far woul you have to go, to make kizaru fight hard

I think he only fights serious against people he respects. So you either have to force his respect by strength or earn it another way.

ahhh, see I haven't seen that yet, but many people from what i read seculate that he isn't trying very hard majority of the time, i guess due to his demeanor.

I think he was fighting seriously against rayleigh. he just looks like he is joking around a lot but I don't think he wanted to let luffy go, I'm sure he tried pretty hard to get past Rayleigh.

Against Rayleigh for example, he was trying his best to get past him and deal with the strawhats but couldn't proceed forward due to Rayleigh being strong enough not only to stop him but even threaten his life(he almost cut his head in half coming out with a cut on the cheek)

Lol you're joking. Rayleigh was breathing hard and sweating after a few moments of clashing swords, and Kizaru isn't even a swordsman. Ray came out of that looking way worse than Kizaru
