What would humanity do if we discovered an alien civilization just begging?

Title. But seriously. Like say we find the alien equivalent to the ancient Egyptians? Like they can build but they don't necessarily have the technology to leave their own planet or any technology for that matter? Just like bricks(or whatever is the equivalent given their planet). What would humans do when making contact.(You know we would try.)
