What would have made Obito a better villain?

It seems like a lot of people got fed up when it came to the Rin thing. So what would have made him better? In my opinion he had a lot of potential while he was masked and really was a good villain up until he was unmasked. What would you have changed and why? IDK what I would have changed but I guess I would not make such a big focus on Rin. And instead give him another reason but i don't really know what yet.

If he didn't say Rin so much times he would've been a perfect villain

His change of heart pissed me off. Like you can't just feel so strongly about the moon's eye plan from like age 14 and then change your mind because of the words of some blonde kid.

If he was never Obito in the first place. It was something people had guessed and speculated for such a long time. He should have remained Tobi, a playful, funny, actual good character that would turn psycho when he got serious. And if his motivation for ending the world wasn't the death of his little crush. Never gonna get over that pathetic excuse.

Killing Kakashi and taking his eye back.

In fact I can see it now, he kills Kakashi and takes his eye. Obito revives Madara and stays alive with combined help of black zetzu and spiral zetsu. Gives madra rinnegan and he replaces it with Kakashis eye and then I can see a perfect fight in my head. Madara becomes juubi in if he wants and meanwhile we get a fight between some major characters and obito and madara vs naruto and sasuke. Maybe guy vs obito and dies to avenge kakashi.

I mean that would be awesome. Taking his eye back and saying something like you failed to keep your promise, you no longer have the right to use this eye. Whatever I really like Obito, I wanted him to go down giving more trouble to everyone than he already gave.

If he didn't decide to become good after 18 years of working towards the tsuki no mei.

This panel not existing, so people would realise he was a good villain.

Staying one? I love Obito's character but you cant be a good villain if you regret everything you did as a villain.

I also would have liked it more if he went through more shit than anyone else in the series, Rin's death should have only been the beginning of his suffering imo.

It was clear since Naruto defeated Kakuzu that he was influencing Obito. Obito may have thought infinite Tsukuyomi was unquestionably the only way, but if you paid enough attention to him, you'd notice he actually cared for everyone. He thought of Rin and tried convincing Naruto and everyone that it would be okay, as if showing he cared for their feelings. He is nothing like Madara and even deviated from Madara's plans. With Madara, we see him killing the shinobi for fun and mocking them. He isn't thinking of his brothers, the Uchha clan massacre that his ideals created or what this could do to him or everyone and what their feelings are because he believes he knows better and is superior to everyone. Obito called himself no one because all he cared about was infinite Tsukuyomi and everyone being at peace in it. He went to meet Naruto after he defeated Pein and wondered what he said to him to convince him. Then, with Konan, he kept talking about him and mentioning his name, saying he was wrong and that there was no such thing as peace, almost like acknowledging him as a rival. When they met in the war, he took the time to tell Naruto he was noone and that Naruto would have to earn the right to learn his identity. Naruto revealing he had communicated with the bijuus also struck his attention and Obito could not take his eyes off him in the juubi revival arc, to which Madara stated, he must remind him of himself.

Nothing, everything is right in my eyes maybe a good death will be the perfect end to the character.

There is no such thing as a naruto villain, Obito has and always will be a Foil. Just like Gaara. The point of his character is the Irony that the main "Villian" of the entire naruto series from behind the scenes since chapter 1, is a "What if this happened to naruto" The whole theme of Naruto is friends. Bonds. Working together. That the easiest way to world peace is the simple idea of making friends and being there for others and never giving up on those you care about.

Iruka did that for Naruto and saved him from becoming Obito, and then Hinata saved him again

Obito didnt have anyone there for him when he needed someone, so his only fall back was a dream world. All obito wants is to be happy with his friends living in peace. Since he lost the one he cared for most he just wants to reconnect his permanently broken bond :/

Obito is a tragic hero, Not a villain and that makes him a much better character.

Right so what would make him a better villain? Akin to Madara.
