Wrong, Madara (MS) and Izuna (MS) were on the same level. Tobirama killed Izuna, meaning he was stronger and or smarter. EMS Madara power would be a good challenge for Tobi. Also Tobirama was the first one (as edo) to say he's going to go fight Madara and we all know Tobirama isn't dumb so why go fight someone who can "manhandle" him without backup? It's because he knew he has a chance to fight Madara or at least EMS Madara. Madara needed Kurama to fight Hashirama so he wasn't equal to Hashirama before, he most likely is now as a edo and his poweups.

Pretty sure Hashirama would keep his head, Madara and the uchiha's killed his other brother, dad and other Senjus in their war yet he still wanted peace with the Uchihas even tho it was said it was clear that the Senjus were winning overall.

MS Madara and Tobirama would be a very good fight. Tobirama wouldn't get man handled. Tobirama had no injuries when he speedblitzed Izuna who trained together with Madara all those years.
