Remember a few episodes back when Fujitora asked Law if he really made a alliance with the strawhats and if they have were his subordinates then everything is all good?

What if Law said no they are my subordinates? What would that have changed? Law claims it would've made matters worse by lying but how exactly would it male matters worse?

Would fujitora and the marines have left? I doubt Akainu would be happy about that, letting strawhat get away. Since him being fleet general he could possibly still give the order to kill Luffy. I dunno, whats your two cents on the matter?

There is no doubt in my mind he still would have doubted him. In his eyes, he's still a pirate after all.

So he would've found the Strawhats again and confirmed it with them, where they would've responded "Hell no".

They would've let him go probably and just made sure that Law keeps Luffy and them in check.

Since they would've thought that Luffy works under a Shichibukai but since Law admitted that he's allied to a pirate, Fuji can't just let it slide.

But then again, Luffy is the son of Dragon and the Brother of Ace and Sabo...Yeah, they would've probably still murdered him.

I also think that the Strawhats are a special case where regardless of how much good they do, or their status with the marines, they will always be enemies of the government and will never be spared, because they shot down the WG flag and declared themselves opponents of the world.

After reading above comments, I wanna add that Law knew that he wasn't strong himself to take on both Doflamingo and Fujitora. If he would have told strawhats as his subordinates, the crew probably wouldn't have supported him, leading to annihilation of both him and Luffy.

Also, Strawhats are official enemies of World Govt. Helping them, being a Shichibukai would simply have taken off the title from him. Either ways he had to give up his title.

He didn't deny his partnership with Luffy because he wanted to kill Doflamingo at any cost, and the only people helping him would be them.
