Meaning that more than likely itachi would still be under kabuto's controll.

Thus making him unable to stop edo tensei and solo the main threat


Would it mean the end of the manga as we know it?


IMO - itachi was the sole reason the AS was saved, so i think w/o itachi stopping kabuto

Edo Madara would have used the contract seal release and found Kabuto and genjutsu'd him to follow HIS orders. ^_^

Naruto and the others would have ran away to other lands. XD

Sasuke would have met up with Suigetsu/Jugo and started planning on how to use the scroll.

Kakashi/Guy would've shown up to help Naruto/Bee fight Itachi/Nagato cuz Kabuto couldn't handle them well.

Sasuke EMS would have activated at the sight of Itachi then KA would be cast on Sasuke.
