What is the timeframe? Did Itachi join them right after his conversation with Danzo? Did he join them the night he would have supposedly killed the Uchiha? Do the the third, Danzo, Homura, and Koharu know that Itachi has chosen the Uchiha over Konoha? I believe this and more information might be necessary in order to give the best hypothetical answer. Obito didn't say that itachi was stronger than him. Obito's statement is very vague. There is no way in hell itachi could ever touch obito when BM naruto wasn't able to touch him. Get your facts straight son. There are very few ninjas who can fight against Obito.

Itachi could of course not solo Konoha. The question is whether itachi and the uchiha could defeat konoha. And if the leadership didn't know about the coup I think they would have a good chance. If they knew Konoha would win
