What would happen to Kurama if Naruto dies?

What would really ruin the anime, more or less than it already has been, is if Naruto dies and Boruto inherits Kurama. Then Boruto would really be a copy/paste of Naruto, oui? I think he should be allowed to wander the forest like the three-tails wandered the ocean. He could just be that one giant beast whose just there and everyone accepts it, and he could even be a guardian of Konoha, the forest being a lawn and Kurama being a big guard dog. And I'm sure he could fend for himself too; he is an entire tailed beast after all.​
