What would happen to Itachi if...

What do you think would happen to Itachi if one day -when he and the other Akatsuki were alive- he just walked right up to his fellow coworkers and said

"Ok, I've had enough of this bull... you wanna know why I joined the Akatsuki? So I could keep all your asses away from the leaf and to protect Sasuke. -goes on to tell them all of the truth of the Uchiha massacre-"

...what are your thoughts on what the Akatsuki would do?

Actually Pain would have said something like " Your actions are Justified " and remember Nagato was a pacifist only that he used the wrong means, just like Itachi ( to some point), so maybe he would confront Itachi but tell him like " I would have done the same" the Talk no jutsu takes over plot no jutsu appears and all of the sudden everyone is friends again
