What would happen if?

What would happen if they ate the bark of the tree... would it have the same chakra powers? because from what I know about plants (not a lot) the fruit gets it's nutrients from the source.. roots etc.. so surely the power would run through the bark and other parts of the tree too?

When fruit gets ready, it separates itself from tree and falls down,(basic biology) then they can eat it...U_U

Does bark even contain the same nutrients as the roots? I thought bark's main purpose was to protect the plant.

No, fruit is supposed to be a way of reproduction, that's why it contains seeds and will give arise to next tree, and in this case, tree won't care about fruit as 'fruit' is a separate entity, unlike bark...hmm
