What would happen if people would play heavy metal in the 18th century?

Would people bring their pitchforks? Would they bow down?

I think it would depend entirely on what group of people you were going to play it to. For example if you played it towards a heavily religious group of people you'd likely be shunned as an outcast or exiled from a village or town at worst. I doubt they would outright execute you as they rarely did that a first offence.
