DF just has the same consequences for every race. Vander Decken couldn't swim anymore and got an ability. The dwarves on Dressrosa and just objects that ate a devil fruit. Everything is possible, and everything has to abide to the rules of eating a DF

Well they would half a quater form the fish they are a quater animal they become and a half man. Then they would have a fishman mode and an animal mode

Or maybe theyd have extra forms.


Now the real question is if a mink ate a zoan of the same animal what would happen

Re-read the Fishman Island arc because there a a few Fishmen that have devil-fruit abilities.
