what would be your reaction if

there's some cool guy on your class and he's smart, oftenly taking As in tests and is the best student of his entire year according to a test that was applied in the beggining of the year. but then he gets a test he has taken and it turns out it is a D. sometime later he gets another test its also a D.

would you change your opinion on him? i mean would you consider him dumb, faking his smartness, still smart, or anything?
