Haven't been in the gym for ages, but I recommand a lot of Cardio. At 60-70% of your max heart rate your body will use fat as fuel, below that is carbohydrates and above it takes your muscles (if I remember correctly).
Eat low fat and several small portions instead of breakfast, lunch and dinner, it will keep your metabolism up.
Swimming, Running with incline, Cycling Rowing(!) are all good cardio workouts and easy to do. Of course you can throw in Bench Press, Squads, Dumbells etc, but the bast way to get rid of fat is by doing long cardio work outs.
Also remember to take anough time to rest, depending on the intensity of your training. Training will break down your muscles and the rest time allows your body to rebuild the broken down muscles, plus a bit more.
