What will the Gokage achieve on the battlefield?

Seriously. I don't get why they're even going there.

Hashirama (alive) was stated to make the Gokage's combined efforts look like nothing. It's manga fact that Edo Madara defeated them and left them for dead as soon as he became bored with their efforts. I wouldn't put it past characters like BM Naruto or Edo KCM Minato also being able to take the Gokage. Obito would be able to pull it off as well, maybe even EMS Sasuke. Characters like Edo Tobirama are more than capable of taking the majority of them out before being sealed.

Compared to the big boys on the field, they are nothing (considering that there are multiple characters who can take them all on and win, some without much difficulty). Their only hope of making any real difference on the battlefield is by getting a chakra cloak from BM Naruto (but then again, Edo Madara has Preta Path and makes that useless).

What difference do you think they will make on the battlefield?

I think(i hope) Kishi brought them back only to replace the hokages(forming the barrier) when the Hokages would finally start fighting. Other than that, i agree that i don't see the point like in almost everything Kishi does actually

They are heading to the battlefield because even they can help and make a difference against the Juubi, Madara and Obito. Yeah they got their ass handed tot them, but they were alone. Now they have the combined force of all 5 Villages and the Samurai.

They would indeed help the alliance, but putting them on par with Naruto, nah. Naruto with BM, KCM and SM clones that can make MORE clones easily would take them. Idk about Sasuke, they are probably on par because we haven't seen much of his EMS

Obito had to save Sasuke that time. If Gaara intervened offensively towards Sasuke instead of taking a neutral approach, he would have died.

But now, Madara doesn't have to hold back against them, now does he?

Are you saying the individuals are on par, or as a whole? Cause I gotta say i think naruto sasuke hiruzen and tobirama> any of the kages. Only raikage and tsuchikage would be even close.

I'd laugh if she went to Tobirama first and that she preferred him over Hashirama.

They can't force Madara to do anything. If Obito gets on that battlefield, if plot allowed him to live after this chapter that is, he's more likely than not going to die.
