Sasuke seemed so adamant about changing the shinobi system and tearing down the ways of he past. He planned on achieving all this by first becoming Hokage...

He seemed so determined to to implement his change and Orochimaru talked about his "new wind" but once Kakashi makes his proclamation how do you think he will handle it? Kakashi was considered for the position numerous times and he has always been a well-respected member of the village so there will be little backlash. Tsunade may consider retiring as well after this war so who knows..
