There is no way Sasuke will give them a simple answer next chapter.

Sasuke will either say something like "It's none of your concern, we need to get out of here." or "We no time for explanations, we settle this after we retrieve Sakura and capture Shin." Hence dragging this subplot till the end of Gaiden.
