Hes on his way to fight kabuto and sasuke just got up and wanted to test his eyes out from madara hideout and kabuto is near the hideout.

You obivioulsy havent read the newest one...Kabuto used world resurection justus thing and resurrected a whole bunch of shinobi to fight i the war against the allied shinobi force..and itachi put genjustu on kabuto to make itachi not under his control.
