I hate repeating myself. Lets just say nothing jiraiya has shown us hints that he can counter anything itachi can throw at him. Maybe to save me repeating myself i'll create a thread and finish this jiraiya vs itachi debate

Im usually up for a challenge, but you see right now im not in the mood.
Sometimes when a battle is clear, only an answer is required. No explanation needed. If i was to explain id have to go in-depth and thats only possible if i create a thread because then i can just copy and paste the link to the thread when future debates arises.

If that fight comes, and Kabuto summons anything at all, I doubt he would choose Jiraiya. If I was Kabuto and had Jiraiya's DNA, I would use him against Naruto specifically. Doesn't matter if Naruto surpassed him, Naruto would have grave problems fighting the former master he loved so much.

For Itachi, whatever, we've seen the man has feelings, but he will resort to anything to fulfill his plans and bring about peace. Summon anything and he will fight it.

..... there's a thought in my mind that there might be a VERY/EXTREMELY low chance that he survived/ been saved by someone when the pains left. But as I said VERY UNLIKELY. although I see him showing up one way or another!

I too think Jiraiya might have survived and would make a surprise appearance. That may be why Kishi didn't resurrect him.

sorry I've have work to do. Ok i will start my post about edo tense i read some crazy post that say if kabuto summon jiraya,he hasn't an arm it's true jiraya lost his arm before he die but can you remember when orochimaru summon first and second hokage and they both young .do you really think first die when he's in mid age??? So i think kabuto can summon peaple in their prime condition. :noc:

if he summons jiraiya in sage mode itachis ****ed , but if he is in base when summoned then itachi will still have trouble , but kabutomaru has all of oros techniques , but superpowered , also more knowledgable , smarter and a tactician like itachi , ontop of that he has his medical ninjutsu ,itachi isnt gonna fight kabuto alone , kabuot might slip away , but i think kabuto will be faced by itachi kakashi and darui

Kabuto can't summon Jiraiya. He doesn't have any of his DNA and Jiraiya is deep at the bottom of the ocean where no one can reach.

And Itachi beats Jiraiya anyway.

Jiraiya is more than capable of taking down Itachi. It wouldn't be an easy fight, but not only did Itachi say he couldn't take down Jiraiya, Jiraiya himself was more than confident in his ability to kill BOTH Kisame AND Itachi at the same time. And given Jiraiya knew of Itachi and what he was capable of, I don't think it can be said that Jiraiya didn't know what he was getting himself in to.

Jiraiya is far too underrated, IMO.
