Calm down? It means you are ready Dead. Read the thread again he wasnt like making noise before he attacks you. You opend your eyes sees him with a knife in action. Then you quickly get out of bed and jump through the window. You dont have time for openin your drawer and bringing out gun. If you try to do that he would killed easily then you wouldnt even have chance to run and wait for Ichigo to show up and save the day. As i said it is not a dream or genjutsu, it is reverse reality.
