the time period with the best pop, r&b , rap or just good artist.

Me personally I like pretty much all music from 2005/6-2012 with 2008-2010 being the best

Most 90s and 80s music isn't that good to me and its lame. With some exceptions.
And I'm young and I hate most these new rappers and bands. And some of the older guys just stopped making songs U_U

80's, 90's and 2000-2008 music were the best. With the exception of a few, most music now a days are just garbage IMO.

That answer is completely subjective.

I could tell you the 1700's were the best years of music.

I listen to spanish music, it has kept its essence almost intact and its just well rounded. Its lyrics are ecstasy.

Early 2000's, mainly because of nostalgia. 2010 was pretty good.

I have a friend that likes the oldies. I want to kill myself when I'm in a car with him and he's blasting that horrible crap. U_U

Easily the 80s to early 90s.
All the best metal, punk/hardcore and hip-hop from that timeframe.

Yeah, the 80s and 90s were good days for music. Especially metal/rock and hip hop. You're missing out OP.

I'd say the 80's and the 90's had the best music. It was a great combination of divas, rock bands and hip-hop artists.
The 00's were fine as well (mostly the first 3/4) but with very noticeable changes though. The 10's are by far the worst years the music industry has ever seen (as far as quality, decency and dignity goes of course).

Well, two of my favourite classical composers are from the 1700s so...

OT: There is no best time, music isn't bounded by time, genre or location. It's a universal art that transcends such things and as such, many artists and songs that have left a great impression are scattered throughout the ages, and the world.
