What were Obito's reasons for the uchiha massacre?

I'm sure he loved his clan so why did he help Itachi kill all those uchihas? What could've made him do it? I can't think of any reasons unless it was Madara wearing the mask that time.

Probably he wanted this to be some sort of "Madara's Revenge" thing cuz I mean the Uchiha shunned him and in turn in order to show the world Madara's back he helped Itachi slaughter the clan to be more convincing. I have a feeling this will come up in a future chapter

I don't think he was an outcast from his clan mainly because his relationship with the clan was never revealed.

the massacre took place after minato's death, so after the meeting between madara and obito by far, so you actually think that old-week madara could help itachi, he said himself that he can't leave that place. it was obito without doubt
