Which planet are the rocks and feathers? Are they on different planets?You gave us their mass, but not the gravitational field strength of their surroundings. If they are on different planets, they will "weigh" differently.Lol

It's the same Ton is a standardized unit, whether it's a ton of roses, ton of cookies, a ton of metal all weigh the same.

1 metric ton=1000kg.

And btw Ton is a measure of Mass not weight, so it has same meaning irrespective of g.
